‘Course..it’s a bit more South than anticipated, but I have my reasons for moving to Chapel Hill, North Carolina:
*Affordability
*Me mum is about 3 hrs away
*Great schools
*mild winter (Cali broke me)
*5 hrs closer to Germany
I’d also be lyin’ to you if I didn’t say I was lookin’ forward to good BBQ, and having 3 extra hrs to get my deadlines done.
My very first college slideshow gig was in Raleigh, NC, 18 yrs ago.. part of the 3-city cluster of Raleigh, Durham and Chapel Hill, NC known as the Research Triangle. It’s a great area full of 14 colleges, a rising culinary scene, great art and music, and the Durham Bulls.
Yeah, yeah…I know about the elephant in the room. But if it turns out to be the biggest mistake in the world, just think about all the comics I’ll come up with!!

When I first moved to Los Angeles, I remember coming across the local alt-weekly’s people ish, full of all the hip and happenin’ folk in the City of Angels..I thought to myself: I’m gonna get in there, somehow, someway..
And now that I’m moving away, I get the call!! So I kept my mouth shut about moving and two weeks back the 2015 ish came out, with ye olde Gentleman Cartoonist plastered on page 44, naming me “L.A.’s Hardest Working Cartoonist”. Oh well.

*AFFAIR OF THE ART-CULVER CITY
For those of you in the Los Angeles area…One great way to see me off is to come on through downtown Culver City next weekend for the Affair of the Arts. It’s a two-day celebration of art, food, music and all that in the city of Culver. I’ll have a booth hocking books, art, prints, my kid’s earrings and more. Plus I’ll be doing an hour long intensive cartooning seminar for adults. Come on by and say hello. It’s yer last chance to buy that one book you been meaning to buy.
