Can’t call friends for help, will be interpreted as “gang activity” and engender even more firepower response. Horrible logical conclusion: ban non-white persons from driving at night ???? Yuck.
Or better still, just ban guns and other powered weapons entirely. Then, the cops won’t have the excuse to get trigger happy at every disturbance. Why is the NRA so powerful in the USA? Has anyone done a detailed study of its lobbying and propaganda, apart from Michael Moore’s excellent film, Bowling For Columbine? The pressure on the NRA needs to be kept up. Your comics on gun culture are a great help in keeping the subject alive, Keith.
Folks – guns are not a problem at all – I would have nothing against the fact, that each and every citizen of the world wons one. Ammunition on the other side should be banned entirely! (I admit I kind of stole that from Dilbert – doesn’t change the truth in it).
Markus, I think Chris Rock had it this way: “I’m totally fine with guns. But ammunition should be 5000$ per bullet. We would not have any _accidental_ shootings any more.”
