Great piece of work, Keith. Mr. Cornelius was truly a (overused word but quite appropriate!) PIONEER, and did a great service to ALL Americans and people around the world. Sad to see him go…… Love your artwork!!! Steve.
And a lil’ white girl like me could see black kids having fun, which challenged rigid family beliefs about “those people” and helped turn me into the librul I am. Thank you Mr. Cornelius!
When I was young, there were no minorities around so I never learned ignorance. Soul train for me was just another fun show to watch.
I didn’t see “black” or “white”, just people. I’m married now, my wife is a different race than I am. My children have grown up without becoming ignorant.
People like Mr. Cornelius are important because they break the bonds of prejudice by showing just how much alike we really are. He will be missed.
I know you are just trying to give a voice to the adgvraee american and let then show off their talents but when their talent is only shaking and showing off their butts then you have a responsibility to say that that is not a talent that i want to broadcast and you shouldn’t either but time and time again it comes up on my space now i not going to sit her and act like im all holy i have fallen victim to these videos as well and i know what it does to me i want to speak out so no one else gets caught up in looking at that filth. God bless i will be praying for youtube

Great comic, Keef! I loved Soul Train and this brought back memories of watching it as a kid.

Ah, one of the defining shows of my youth. Thanks for the thoughtful tribute to a true visionary and pioneer.
