Is he really giving you english and wifey german, or is it mixed? Curious how the bi-lingual has been emerging (it’s cool – just curious how it works on a developmental level). And yes it’s cute (but I’m a nerd who have family working in developmental sciences).
It’s pretty amazing, really. Almost from the start has he been speaking German to me and mostly English to Keith and other English speaking people. When he doesn’t have the word in that particular language he just uses the one he knows. That way, we still have a lot of “mixed” sentences. The mixed sentences are mostly with English speakers, because his German vocabulary dominates at this point, since I’m a stay-at-home mom and speak to him in German all day long.
Wasn’t Woodcock the guy in the mail car in Butch Cassidy and the Sundance Kid? The one who worked for E.H. Harriman and refused to open the door? Perhaps the kid knows something we haven’t picked up on…

That’s sweet. (and I’m so going to call Woodstock that from now on)
the wifey – Similar thing with me growing up, except with English and Japanese.
I’m going to say “D’aaaaawwwww!!!!!” and that’s all there is to it!

Hilariously spot-on!
And by the way, George Woodcock was a highly respected Canadian anarchist.
