Back in `95 Esquire magazine did a special-edition Dubious Achievement Awards for Newt. Great reading, check it out in periodicals at the library (I tried to find it at the archives of the Esquire site, but no luck – probably because there have been plenty of other articles about the Newt(). Including that he proposed putting mirrors in space so that people could drive at night without their headlights. And that he taught a college class that “Men are biologically driven to hunt giraffes.” And that Mr. Alternative Military History dodged the draft.
