My mispent youth in the Army taught me to appreciate so many little things that people in an apartment or a house take for granted. And those guys over there on the other side of the world right now have it incredibly tougher than me and my friends did. I’m kind of overwhelmed, I don’t know what else to say.
I’ve never been in the service, but I would think that no victory is a small one when living under the conditions our troops face in Afghanistan, Iraq, and the like. Nice strip!
Adding ammo to #4928 was one of the little touches that makes your work so great, Keef. Most people wouldn’t have thought of that, and it means a lot when you think about it. Here’s to all of the troops having many big and small victories.

As an American who served, I just want to say, “Thanks Keef.”
This is how it should be everyday for our troops!

I think it’s time to retire the term “bushy-tailed” unless you plan on kicking it.

Simply a great strip.
I carried mail for ten years after my Army days, and people used to ask how I stood walking in the horrendous weather.
“If I were still in the Army”, I’d say, smiling, “I’d be sleeping in it, too!”.
O.K., not that we EVER slept much in the field or in ‘the green’, but you get the jist.
