Mr Knight..You may not remember me but I met you for the first time at the San Diego Comic Con and you posed with me for a picture at your booth, posing with your Inkpot Award after the Nappy Hour panel with you, Spike Trotman(she should have been my wife, and Dwayne McDuffie. The orginial art you autographed for me has been a hit at my store and Ive been talking about how prolific and awesome you are in person. Someone asked me about you and asked what did I like about you and your work, and I said, “he speaks from his life and his heart…you can’t be anymore real than that…” Ive got your poster on display and couldnt resist saying hello and looking forward to reading more and seeing you again at the San Diego Comic Con 2011..Blessings to you and your beautiful family….
Love your comics Keef and love your insight on L.A. As a native So Cal girl, it is so awesome to know about the homicide rate. I grew up in crime-ridden suburban La Puente where gangs ruled the streets and watched the L.A. riots live on TV trembling in fear.
I can’t help but theorize that the rise of medical marijuana and the proliferation of dispensaries has had something to do with it. Maybe people are now to stoned to murder?
