The U.S. government economic ideology provides socialism for the rich, and capitalism for the rest of us. You and I are competing for every remaining scrap of land, food, education and other prizes. Cheers!
Truth Hurts – no, not really – the Jakobians not only killed or terrorized people of the 1% – the totally powermad Roberspierre also killed and terrorized normal people of the 99% – read it up!
Unfortunately, there is no such thing as “a nice, tidy revolution”, any more than there can be a nice tidy war in which only combatants are killed. Revolutions happen when the people who are likely to become victims realise that they have nothing more to lose and are willing to take that risk. And, it’s “Robespierre”, not “Roberspierre”. Read it up!
You are reprieved! But, you have to agree with everything I say. (A typical totalitarian situation). Speaking of tyrants, I remember only a few years ago people were saying that the Republican party was dead. Now, it looks like they’re back again. No amount of political jokes seems to keep those zombies in their graves.
Its the media – telling the US people big fat lies (about Obamacare, Ebola fe) and telling people that MUPPET movies a liberal propaganda fouling up kids minds. I can’t eat fast enough for all the barfing I have to do ….
They keep us in line now by using fear. And it doesn’t matter where it comes from. Whether it’s Ebola or the Muppets. The Government’s subtext is, ‘If it weren’t for us, things would be even worse’. Forget about them making things better. Or even changing things. Remember how Bush stole the first election? Even Gore was powerless to do anything. The trouble is, we’re now too afraid to start an insurrection. What was the outcome of the demos in St. Louis? Was that cop ever arrested for gunning down that kid in the street?
I would love to see a cartoon of Obama walking through a country club as he bumps into Mitch McConnell and he says something like “Hey great win the other day, Karl Rove helped you bag that election with ORCA?” Wonderful I knew you could do it! ‘Hey By the way you hit courts? McConnell says sure let me just get my racket… and then there’s an image of Obama dressed in a his country club attire holding a tennis Racket… ha ha ha… that would be funny… Obama is great but he’s been turned into a 1 % BETWEEN NOW AND 9 MONTHS THE DRUMS OF WAR WILL BEAT AGAIN….. CAN OBAMA KEEP THE SENANT CALM ENOUGH TO AVOID WAR NOW THAT THE WAR HAWKS HAVE MAJORITY….. WE WILL SEE. 1%ERS
Yeah, Obama’s been a disappointment on a number of fronts. And there’s still the prison camp at Gitmo, that he closed down as soon as he took office. Mind you, he did stand up to the 1% when they tried to shut down the country to stop Obamacare being implemented.
Mark Twain had a good comeback for people who deplored the Terror of the French Revolution. While they were distressed by nine years of terror against the ruling class, they were indifferent to the nine HUNDRED years of terror that class had inflicted on the rest of society.
So much of the New Deal (FDR’s legacy) was a frenetic effort to prevent revolution in the USA. Yet the people working so diligently to undo that legacy would be victims of such a revolution. It is a puzzlement.
It’s easy to forget. Just like the people who curse the New Deal can still enjoy their retirement pensions, forgetting that if it weren’t for FDR they wouldn’t have a pension.

It’s time we tore that curtain down…
A nice, tidy revolution with the 1% getting its just desserts like in France, ca 1789 – thats what is needed! Just without Jakobian terrorism ….
It was only terrorism to the 1% who deserved it. Don’t be swayed by the propaganda of the the Elite.

Lucky you, Markus! I’m trying very hard today to stay away from comfort food!
There’s little comfort to be had today, that’s for sure…
