His stuff has been predominately right wing. I think Mystic River and the Iwo Jima films are his masterpieces. Perhaps his political antics with the chair and his railing at the ‘pussy generation’ will be kindly forgotten with the passing of time. John Ford’s personal politics are now generally dismissed when his films are appreciated, perhaps Clint will be equally fortunate?
