This strip should be enlarged into a 15′ x 15′ postcard and put on display in front of every Catholic Church in the world! You should mail a copy to the Vatican ATTENTION Pope Benedict XVI. Do it in the memory of all those poor Deaf kids who were molested.
When I was growing up in southern California, Father Lynn Caffoe was the pedophile priest at our Catholic school, St. Callistus. Then Bishop Mahony obfuscated the multiple counts of abuse against Caffoe for years, and just transferred him to other parishes. Caffoe was eventually defrocked, and died in hiding last year in Arizona.
Allowing female clergy and priests to marry might help to positively transform the Catholic Church; however, ceasing the decades of cover-ups, lies and hiding of pedophiles and rapists would definitely be a step in the right direction.
Hope all those holier-than-thou Catholic priests had a Happy Mol-easter. You know that Hell has a sweet spot waiting for those bastards! And for those tea-bagging fools, your silence only condones these reprehensible actions.
It seems to me that if the Roman Catholic Church wasn’t so big on vows of celibacy and actually let their priests get some legitimate (i.e.: legal) fun time now and then, maybe they wouldn’t be so primed to assault the most defenseless and trusting of their flock.
Well said. And let’s not forget that it’s a sexist organization as well. I remember asking my mom when I was three or four, “Mom, where are the girl priests?” and she told me that I couldn’t be a priest because I was a girl. I decided then and there that even though they could make me take my body to church, they couldn’t make my bring mind or my heart or my soul. There are things about the church that are good – it’s based on the principle that everyone deserves respect and dignity – but the behavior of the church hierarchy pulls the rug out from anything the church has done that is good.
Found mostof the posted cartoons to be biased and really not funny. Race and gay issues are not items that need a biased slant. The catholic church moletation issue is a problem but don’t paint the republicans as saying its not important when the democrats have been just as silent.
Has it really been 20 years since The Sinead Incident? Da-yum! Cool cartoon this week.

They’re not paedophiles because they’re catholics, they’re paedophiles because they’re Irish.
