Bradley Manning knew what he was in for, an went ahead anyway. He might be a traitor to The Government, but he’s certainly a hero for America. But heroes are not known for long and healthy lives….
Also, when setting up a sale table, take a moment to practice and tweak your patter! You want at least two different ways of phrasing each key thing you need to say: The first time someone misparses what you said, or the second time they can’t hear it, , switch to the other way of saying it: “Shirts to support Private Bradley Manning!” In this case I’d also recover from “Free what?” with “Free Bradley Manning! Buy a shirt?” And I’d be prepared to sub “Bradley Manning” with the “Wikileaker” if someone can’t make out, or doesn’t know, the name.
@Alex X: Whether or not Bradley Manning is a traitor should be determined in a court of law or, in this case, a court martial. It is, to put it simply, not for you or Fox News to decide.
Even if he is convicted, he should receive only that punishment that is in accord with the laws and traditions of the United States. The punishment that he is now receiving — prior to even being tried, let along convicted — is usually only meted out to the hardest, most violent of convicted felons. PFC Manning is none of those; he is a political prisoner, who is being tried for his political acts.
As someone who’s not American I don’t think that the information that was revealed put the actual country at risk or its servicemen. It did reveal Hypocrisies (on both sides of the political landscape) and as a country that has written into its first amendment enough wanted safeguards that would hopefully allow a patriot to reveal to its citizenry any abuses that the government is intending to hide from them. While some will immediately throw the stones of treason at some like this, the information revealed to some may not unlike information revealed for abuses during the Vietnam war, which helped the country to recalibrate their global actions and move forward in becoming a more focused global power. Just an opinion/thought; love to here if there’s those out there who agree w/ me or think that I’m talking out of my hat.
Liebchen, I agree, he is being held without trial and in unjustifiable circumstances. If Obama was really (alive?) a president, he would do something about that.
Big and Liebchen, he didn’t know what he was stealing. It was fortunate that most of it seems to be low level intel. Regardless, his actions are despicable and he deserves the same punishment as other traitors to this country.
[Bleep] Bradley Manning. He’s a traitor, should be tried and hanged, not freed.
I was always wondering when we would start torturing Americans, now thanks to Bradley Manning now I know.
As always Keef, you come through with great presentation of decency….
@alex_x your ignorance is, unfortunatly, not beyond belief.

@jg, you don’t know me. So [bleep] you too.

I didn’t consider him to be a traitor. I considered him to be a wistleblower.
