Been there. The time down was far less than 10 mins (I don’t know how you stood it.), but I remember having such overwhelming feelings of fear, dread, and helplessness. She was my 2.0 as well. I hope yours turns out as happy and healthy as ours.
Been there too – ours was born with congenital heart defect and had to be transported at 4 hours to Seattle Children’s for heart valve repair at 7 days. Yikes! Now 15 and eating me out of house and home, thank goodness!! Kids are the best, keep yours close and love them lots!!
No doubt about it. Newborns are tough little buggers! Congrats, Keith. And the new one’s already earning his keep by providing comic inspiration! I look forward to watching his progress in your future strips.
Wouldn’t the tummy scan show that the cord was wrapped around his neck before he was born? I had no idea that you can survive for 10 minutes without air.
the scariest ten minutes in memorable history. I’m so glad it worked out ok and you were able to keep Mrs K calm; hard under those circumstances. Hugs all around.
