*SORRY ABOUT THE DELAY WITH YOUR KCHRONICLES.COM ORDERS..
right in the middle of my hurricane fundraiser (still going on til oct 10th), my latest k chronicles collection, “the passion of the keef”, went out of print!! so there was a delay in getting a bunch of orders out. there was alos an overwhelming response to the new book “the beginner’s guide..”, and i ended up running out of those to..

but both books have come in earlier in the week, so the rest of the orders are being filled and sent as we speak…thanks for your patience!!

*SO…TIGER WOODS IS PLAYING IN SAN FRANCISCO THIS WEEKEND..
at the amex championship in harding park..the first time they’ve had something this big concerning golf in the city in years.

on the same weekend, they’ve scheduled the blue angels, those jets that fly all over the city and are really, really loud to the point where this one vietnam vet told me he gets these really bad flashbacks of the war every year these things fly overhead.

anyway..i’m looking forward to reading about the complaints from the golfers..i hear there’s also a shooting range right next to the course, too..(ha!!)

*STARTING TO GET FEEDBACK FROM MY SHOT-TAKING PERFORMANCE AT THE SPX 2005 IGNATZ AWARDS

Heya!

Ok, you’re getting an email from someone you’ve never heard of. Yup, yup, there you go! I was at SPX (exhibiting in the far too hot Montgomery room) and I didn’t get much of a chance to circulate and say “hi” to people. Damn desire to stay with my table! :) Anyway, I just wanted to say thanks for making the Ignatz Awards the most enjoyable show I’ve seen in a long time (thus proving I entertain easily!). I’m not sure how you were walking straight, but man, both my wife and I enjoyed it a bunch. And for newcomers to the con (and from Canada, to boot!) it really did help us enjoy ourselves.

So, for what it’s worth – thanks a bunch! :)

E.J.

Mr. K,

According to Comic Book Resources (http://www.comicbookresources.com/news/newsitem.cgi?id=5956):

The highlight of Saturday’s show was this year’s presentation of the Ignatz Awards. Hosted by Keith Knight, these awards celebrate the best of the independent comics in world in categories ranging from Anthologies to Online comics.

Keith’s fast funny presentation kept the show moving, as did the shot of tequila award winners were asked to take, although volunteers from the audience such as Dean Haspiel managed to take shots for those who weren’t inclined to drink in front of an audience.

Well done!

Happy to be back in the land of coffee and pizza,
Robert (Kchronicles.com webguy)

*HURRICANE KATRINA FUNDRAISING UPDATE..
WoW!! You folks have really come through with my fundraiser. people are ordering off the site and sending their checks in the mail. great stuff..

keep it up!! i’ll still be donating $5 for every copy of “beginner’s guide to community-based arts” and “what a long strange strip it’s been” up until october 10th!!

*AND GET YER ASS DOWN TO THE ELBO ROOM ON OCT 10TH..
cuz my marginal prophets will be performing with 5 other bands to raise money for gulf coast musicians…i know, i know..it’s a monday…but it’s for a damn good cause..and it’s an early show. 647 valencia st in san francisco’s lovely mission district.

cheers!!
