*HAPPY NEW YEAR!!
I hope everyone had a safe and happy holiday season. We stayed down here in Los Angeles, and went to the beach on Christmas Eve and Christmas Day. I even hit tennis balls on Christmas day. It was nice.

We brought the new year in at home, too. Eating fresh crab and watching Holocaust movies.

We watched “the Trial of Sophie Scholl”. Great film, inspirational, but super depressing. We paused her beheading to bring in the New Year. After watching that, 2008 can only get better.

But mostly I’ve been working. Doing a lot of drawing. It’s shaping up to be the biggest year yet here at K.Knight Komix. There are many projects in production (including a kid!!) I hope you’ll follow me throughout the year to see what’s in store.

Just got word that the great Kyle Baker will be doing the Foreward to the Complete K Chronicles Collection, which collects the first four K Chronicles collections, along with commentary by yours truly, sketches and notes.

*MY 5 FAVORITE MOVIES FOR 2007 (in no particular order)
*Michael Clayton (this was done by a first time director??)
*No Country For Old Men (although the ending was sorta wack)
*Ratatouille (I don’t know how to spell it)
*3:10 to Yuma (That was Peter Fonda?)
*Once (great songs and music/I thought the bad acting actually made it more realistic, ‘cept the studio guy and the bank guy)

*5 MOVIES FROM 2007 THAT I STILL NEED TO SEE
*Persepolis
*King of Kong
*American Gangsta
*The Savages
*Eastern Promises

*5 GREAT MOVIE PERFORMANCES
*Amy Ryan- Frighteningly realistic Bostonian white trash in “Gone Baby Gone”
*Amy Adams- I cannot explain how good she is in “Enchanted”. If she wasn’t , the movie would be unbearable
*Javier Bardem- Effing badass in “No Country..”
*Tom Wilkinson-Is he nuts? Is he a pervert? Is he a genius? In “Michael Clayton”
*Josh Brolin/Phillip Seymour Hoffman make at least 7 2007 movies better because of their existence.

Looking forward to Batman, Bond and Indiana Jones (though I’m afraid of what I might see).

*WE’RE OFF TO BARBADOS!!
..in a coupla weeks. Barbados is where my father’s side of the family is from and I’ve never been there!! I’m looking forward to the misbehavior that will ensue.
