*I KNOW, I KNOW..
i didn’t blog last week. it was a really crazy, busy week. i attended a family reunion in ailey, georgia this past week and it was brilliant. saw a million cousins i never knew i had, drank moonshine, and fell off a shuttle bus. good stuff…

but the nicest thing was to see where my mom grew up..a lot of history there.

*OKAY…MY HOPES ARE UP
i did a slideshow last week at s.f. state with adam mansbach, a writer and rapper whose new book, “angry black white boy”, is making noise…and deservedly so. this book kicks ass. scathingly satirical. ferociously funny. he has packed so many hip-hop, baseball, boston and new york references…it’s just amazing. it’s good stuff.

adam’s also a star wars fan. and he gave me the best reason to have hope for this new star wars film. he said that from the moment the first film hit the screen in ’77, lucas had always talked about how darth vader became darth vader by falling into a crater after an incredible battle with obi-wan. lucas had the idea for this last movie for thirty years, and probably had no idea what would come before it. thus “the phantom menace” and “attack of the clones” sucked ass.

*OKAY…I CANNOT WAIT ANY LONGER…
it isn’t totally official yet, but i will have a new strip in MAD MAGAZINE starting in the next few months. i will let everyone know which issue it will start in as soon as i know. the strip is called “Father O’Flannity’s Hot Tub Confessions”….Ha!!
